The presented exhibition “History-Style-Costume” offers to the public the opportunity to recall highlights from the history of Georgian theatre and cinema. The show ensued from the exhibition “History Stile Costume” created by Georgian Arts and Culture Center in 2001, whichdeeply impressed the public, with its innovative artistic approach to animate the parts of the display, the synthesis of forms and languages of art within the traditional exhibition space; life performance of the artifacts through the animation of the stage costumes, historical cinema and theater, music and others, created slightly different touch and changed the artistic impression of the exhibition. Therefore this particular exhibition, after a decade, is an attempt to give a new lease of life to the prominent costumes and invite visitors to recall the unforgettable characters of Georgian theatre and cinema.
On Display with almost 60 theatrical costumes were created by six legendary Georgian artists who have become the cornerstones of Georgian theatre design. Works created at the beginning of the 20th century, designed by Irakli Gamrekeli, Petre Ockheli, Soliko Virsaladze, Parnaoz Lapiashvili and Ioseb sumbatashvili
