The project’s vision was integration of European sustainable methodologies, showcasing cross-regional collaboration.
The primary objective of the project was fill the current gap and stimulation of a research of traditional architecture, and raise awareness about its advantages, particularly focusing on the environmental, cultural, and social benefits. It aimed to work with early career researchers/young minds in the region to open more opportunities for future collaborations and thus to generate valuable insights and data that can inform conservation efforts and architectural practices, such as the integration of sustainable materials into construction design.
The project core activities included the webinar on traditional architecture, one case study in each of south Caucasus countries Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia and two days conference that gave the platform for researchers, conservators, policymakers, architects, and community members to share their findings, experiences, and insights related to loam and wooden architecture and heritage conservation.
